Mike Vorkunov of the Star-Ledger writes that Dillon Gee is throwing from 120 feet on flat ground in Port St. Lucie, but the Mets hope he can get on a mound this weekend.
“Which is a great sign,” says Terry Collins.
Gee is still on the disabled list with a strained right lat muscle, but Collins tells Vorkunov that he hopes Gee can pitch in a game next week.
