Mets Captain David Wright has terminated his own rehab assignment, he announced. He will be examined in New York later this week.

“After playing in a few games, I continued to have shoulder pain,” Wright said in a statement. “So I decided to go to the doctor and get it checked out. Will make any decisions going forward after my appointment.”

The injuries keep piling up for one of the greatest position players in Mets history, a real shame. I caught up with him a few days ago in St. Lucie and you can hear what he had to say here.
