Left-handed reliever Dario Alvarez, who spent a couple of days with the Mets before being sent back to Las Vegas when the Mets activated David Wright, is likely to rejoin the Mets again on Friday in Miami, when the Mets open up a three game series with the Marlins. (ESPN New York)

Alvarez was not among the other players who joined the Mets on Tuesday when rosters expanded because he had to spend the required 10 days in the minors after being sent down. He becomes eligible to be recalled on Friday.

After beginning the year with Double-A Binghamton, Alvarez made 15 appearances as a reliever this season with Triple-A Las Vegas and went 2-1 with a 2.53 ERA. Opponents are hitting only .147 against him in 10 2/3 innings.
