The Dude abides…

“I’d put him up against anybody in the league as far as power.”

That’s what manager Terry Collins had to say after today’s 4-2 win over the Atlanta Braves.

Collins also said that he expects Duda to surpass Jason Bay in the batting order, and that he will be going from the six spot in the lineup to the No. 5 hole beginning with the next series against the Nationals.

The Mets are facing left-hander Mike Minor tomorrow and prefer to make the move on Monday when Mike Pelfrey goes up against right-hander Edwin Jackson for the Nats.
