Robinson Cano and Brandon Nimmo both appeared in a Tuesday night’s game for Triple-A Syracuse in which both played pretty well.

Cano, 36, went 3-for-3 on the night with two doubles in the game while Nimmo, 26, went 0-for-3 with two walks, three runs, and a strikeout.

However, Cano didn’t look too great running the basepaths on his first double, which is very concerning given the fact his injury was a strained left quad. That being said, he looked much better running the bases on his second double later on in the game as can be seen in the two videos below.

Nimmo (neck injury) likely is closer to a return to the Mets than Cano if only because of the fact that the latter won’t be eligible to return from the 10-day IL until Sunday.

However, Nimmo has now appeared in three rehab games in which he is 2-for-11 with a triple, four walks, four runs, and two strikeouts.

Cano was taken out after his double in the fifth inning while Nimmo was pulled before the start of the seventh inning.
