According to Andy Martino of SNY, the market for Asdrubal Cabrera is heating up, and he could be moved at any time.

Buster Olney of ESPN reported yesterday that the Diamondbacks had interest in Cabrera. Jon Heyman of Fancred reported earlier today that the Diamondbacks, Brewers, Braves, and Phillies have interest in Cabrera.

Joel Sherman of the New York Post wrote yesterday that the Phillies interest in Cabrera could increase if Cabrera could still play shortstop.

Phillies shortstop J.P. Crawford is still recovering from a broken hand and has been out since June 19. Scott Kingery has been playing shortstop for the Phillies in the interim. Kingery had only played two games of shortstop in his time in the minor leagues, but has played 76 games there this season, and he started 70 of those games at the position. Cabrera’s -18 defensive runs saved at second base on the season may not help that bid.

Cabrera is hitting .277/.329/.488, .349 wOBA, 122 wRC+ on the season and could provide an offensive boost to a team who picks him up.
