Mets left-handed pitching prospect Anthony Kay has been named to the 2019 All-Star Futures Game roster according to Craig Mish of Fantasy Sports Radio.

Kay, 24, has gone 7-5 with a 2.63 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 9.6 K/9 in 75.1 innings between the Double-A Binghamton Rumble Ponies and Triple-A Syracuse Mets in 2019.

The former first round pick had a 1.49 ERA in Binghamton before getting promoted to Syracuse. He’s struggled adapting to the juiced International League ball and has allowed 11 runs in nine Triple-A innings. In his last outing though he allowed only two runs in four innings.

Baseball America ranked Kay as their No. 85 prospect in their most recent update to the Top 100.

Pete Alonso and Andres Gimenez played in the 2018 Futures Game with Alonso hitting a massive homer.

Here’s the rest of the Futures Game roster including two pieces the Mets traded this offseason to Seattle, RHP Justin Dunn and OF Jarred Kelenic. The game takes place on July 7 in Cleveland. For the first time it will be the National League vs the American League.
