The 2027 MLB spring training schedule has been released, meaning the New York Mets know their Grapefruit League slate for next year. Barring a delay to the start of spring training, the Mets games will begin on February 19 against the Marlins. A lockout of the players by the owners over the CBA negotiations could delay the start of spring training, but as of now the expectation is that February 19 will be the first game.

The Mets acquired many prospects at the deadline that could be in camp, including Émilien Pitre, Jefferson Rojas, Gary Gill Hill, Gabe Davis, Luke Gabrysh and Zach Franklin potentially looking to earn an Opening Day roster spot. Mets top prospects Mitch Voit, Jonathan Santucci, Jonah Tong and Jack Wenninger could also be in the mix in that regard.

The Mets will have many choices to make this offseason about how much room they want to leave for internal players to force their way onto the roster, similar to Carson Benge heading into this season. Some of these prospects could also be traded.

Whatever happens in the offseason, the group of players the Mets bring to camp in the new year will look very different from how the team looks now.
