Players of the Week

Offense – Yonatan Henriquez, INF/OF Brooklyn

The 21-year-old Henriquez has had a rough year in Brooklyn, owning a .636 OPS. This is following a solid year that he split between Low-A and High-A. Henriquez’s bat has started to come around, though, as he has a .934 OPS with six home runs and 23 RBIs in his last 20 games. He’s played all over the field for the Cyclones this year and will hope to ride his positive momentum through the remainder of the season.

Pitching – Xzavion Curry, P Syracuse

The veteran Curry has provided solid depth for the Mets this season. He’s appeared in seven big league games, owning a 2.81 ERA, and he has a 3.84 ERA in Syracuse after a brilliant week. The 28-year-old’s best baseball is likely behind him, but if he can continue to be effective in Syracuse, there’s a chance he helps the Mets’ major league squad down the stretch.

Upcoming Schedule – August 25-30
