Bob Nightengale of USA Today updated his previously wrongly reported confirmation that the Mets were going to take on the Philadelphia Phillies in the Field of Dreams game in 2026. Nightengale updated his report saying it will be the Minnesota Twins, not the Mets, who take on Philadelphia.

According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the New York Mets will be featured in the league’s Field of Dreams game in 2026. They’ll reportedly take on the Philadelphia Phillies.
This is set to be the third installment of the series. The league first played a game there in 2021 where the Chicago White Sox defeated the New York Yankees. The last time the game was 2022 when the Chicago Cubs defeated the Cincinnati Reds 4-2.
Of course, the site of the game is in Dyersville, Iowa where the movie Field of Dreams was set. The movie released in 1989. The game takes place on a field right next to the one featured in the movie.
