After June 1, former first-round pick Kevin Parada was hitting .171 for Double-A Binghamton. However, after a huge last few weeks, he has that average up to .219, a season-high, off the back of a month of June that has seen the catcher slash .371/.439/.800. He continued this strong play on Saturday, for the first-place Rumble Pones (Double-A), as he hit two doubles.

Suarez has done well in his nine appearances (seven starts) for Binghamton. He also made two starts for Triple-A Syracuse last month. One was a disaster (eight earned runs in three innings pitched) but the other was better (two unearned runs in 5 2/3 innings).

Shortstop Yorber Semprun was 2-for-2 with a double, two runs scored, a walk and two stolen bases. The 17-year-old from Venezuela is off to a 6-for-13 start. Yovanny Rodriguez, an 18-year-old catcher, hit a solo homer.
Right-handed pitcher, Jean Brito, 19 years old, hurled 2 2/3 scoreless innings to drop his ERA to 4.32 over 8 1/3 innings. He gave up two hits, walked two and struck out two.
