The Mets will wrap a three-game road set against the Cardinals today with a doubleheader. The first game is scheduled for 1:15 p.m. ET, with Blade Tidwell taking the hill for his major league debut. Tylor Megill will start the second game at approximately6:15 p.m.
The Mets won the first game of the series 9-3 on Friday.

According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, José Ureña and Spencer Turnbull are both signing major league deals with the Toronto Blue Jays, pending physicals. Ureña has pitched just once this season, posting a 15.00 ERA over three innings. Turnbull has been far more effective, logging a 1.33 ERA across five starts.
Per Ian Browne of MLB.com, Red Sox first baseman Triston Casas has suffered a ruptured left patellar tendon. Casas was hitting .182/.313/.338 with three home runs and 11 RBIs over 99 at-bats before the injury.
According to Dodgers Daily, the Dodgers are calling up infielder Hyeseong Kim. Kim was slashing .252/.354/.443 with five home runs and 19 RBIs at Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reported that the Dodgers are placing Tommy Edman on the injured list to make room for Kim. Edman is batting .252/.308/.396 this season with eight home runs, 24 RBIs, and six stolen bases.
According to Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic, Corbin Burnes is expected to miss time due to a shoulder issue. Burnes has made six starts for Arizona this season, recording a 3.58 ERA with 28 strikeouts in 32 2/3 innings.
According to the Phillies’ official X account, the team has reinstated left-hander Ranger Suárez from the 15-day injured list and returned him from his rehab assignment with Triple-A Lehigh Valley. In a corresponding move, right-hander José Ruiz was placed on the 15-day IL (retroactive to May 1) with neck spasms. Suárez posted a 1.83 ERA across 16 starts in 2024, while Ruiz holds a 4.76 ERA over 11.1 innings this season.
According to Chandler Rome of The Athletic, Lance McCullers Jr. will start for the Astros on Sunday against the White Sox. It will be his first MLB appearance since 2022. McCullers owns a 3.48 career ERA with 800 strikeouts in 718.2 innings.
