Mark Vientos came out of Saturday afternoon’s game against the Cardinals. The Mets announced that the third baseman left the game after suffering from groin discomfort.

Mark Vientos started the game 0-2, and played four innings in the field. He made an impressive play to start the 4th inning, jumping to his apex to catch a hard-hit line drive by Brendan Donovan.
Vientos has struggled to start the 2025 season, slashing .167/.259/.306, but homered in consecutive games on Thursday and Friday, showing signs of resurgance for the Mets’ young slugger.
Brett Baty replaced Vientos at third and immediately made an assist, throwing out Thomas Saggese at home plate.
