Tylor Megill made a rehab start for Double-A Binghamton on Sunday as he works his way back from biceps tendinitis. Megill threw 53 pitches and struck out five, allowing two hits and two runs with no walks in 3.2 innings. Megill will now head back to New York to get evaluated to determine whether or not he needs a second rehab start.

The Mets earned a series split with the Dodgers, winning 5-4 in a wild 10-inning affair. Starling Marte homered, J.D. Davis drove in the game-winning run with a double, and rookie Adonis Medina picked up his first career save after Seth Lugo faltered in the ninth. The Mets now head to San Diego for a three-game series with the Padres, who sit in second place behind the Dodgers in the NL West. Carlos Carrasco (6-1, 3.63 ERA) will take on 2018 AL Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell (0-2, 4.80 ERA) in the opener tonight. First pitch is scheduled for 9:40 eastern time.

Orioles’ prospect Grayson Rodriguez was diagnosed with a grade 2 lat strain after he left his last start for Triple-A Norfolk in the sixth inning. Rodriguez is expected to be out until September at the earliest. Baseball America ranked Rodriguez as the third-best prospect in baseball.
Former Met Kevin Pillar will undergo season-ending surgery after he suffered a fracture in his left shoulder. The outfielder had yet to appear in a game for the Dodgers this season.
