2021: Daniel Murphy announces his retirement. The long-time Mets second baseman spent seven years in the Big Apple. His biggest moments came during the 2015 Postseason, where Murphy set a major league record by homering in six straight games. During that stretch, he managed to lead the Mets to a sweep over the Cubs in the NLCs. That was enough to earn himself the NLCS MVP.

He finished his MLB career with a slash line of .296/.341/.455, and hit 138 home runs with 735 RBIs.
