 As reported by Tim Healey of Newsday, according to a source, the New York Mets signed Cesar Puello to a minor league deal. Puello, who was with the Mets organization from 2007-2015 will join Triple-A Syracuse. Puello was batting .158/.370/.184 prior to being signed by the Mets.

Per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com, The San Diego Padres have claimed Mets pitcher Sam McWilliams off of waivers. He was DFA’d by the Mets this past week.

According to Metsmerized’s Michael Mayer, the New York Mets have signed 26-year old infielder Luis Gonzalez who reached the Triple-A level in 2019.

Per Lindsey Adler of The Athletic, the New York Yankees called up Chris Gittens ahead of their Saturday night game against the Red Sox. Gittens was hitting .283/.486/.585 with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre before being called up on Saturday.
