MLB announced on Wednesday that they will be making tickets available to a limited number of fans for the NLCS and World Series.

An official press release from MLB stated:

“Major League Baseball will allow a limited number of fans to attend the National League Championship Series presented by Camping World and World Series at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. In conjunction with the Texas Rangers, MLB will make approximately 11,500 tickets available for each game with 10,550 fans spread throughout the ballpark and 950 in suites.”

This will be the first time MLB has allowed fans into games in any capacity since before the COVID-19 pandemic. While it is just for these two series, it will allow some fans to briefly return to the thrill of experiencing postseason baseball in person.

The 11,500 tickets will be sold in groups of four, called a pod. The pods will be at least six feet from each other and no seat will be sold within 20 feet of where players may be located. Masks will also be mandatory for the fans.

While it’s still not quite the same as in normal times, these safety regulations should still allow a great experience for a select group of people.
