Good morning, Mets fans!
On Tuesday, the Washington Nationals defeated the Milwaukee Brewers by a score of 4-3 in the National League Wild Card game and will go on to face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLDS.
Nationals ace Max Scherzer did not last long in his start, pitching five innings, giving up three runs and collecting six strikeouts. Brewers starter Brandon Woodruff did not last long either, however, he limited his damage to just one run in his four innings pitched, collecting three strikeouts.
Brewers ace reliever Josh Hader entered the eighth inning with a score of 3-1 Brewers before surrendering a three-run double to Juan Soto.
On Wednesday, the Rays will face the Athletics in Oakland for the American League Wild Card game. Charlie Morton will start against Sean Manaea. The game will be on at 8:09 EST and can be seen on ESPN.
