Anthony Dicomo of MLB.com reports that the Mets are calling up Chris Mazza from Triple-A.
Mazza, 29, was drafted in the 27th round of the 2011 MLB Draft, but has yet to make a major league appearance in his career thus far.
In 2019, Mazza is 3-5 with a 3.59 ERA, 1.156 WHIP, and 65 strikeouts over 12 starts (72 2/3 innings) split between Double-A Binghamton and Triple-A Syracuse.
The corresponding move has yet to be announced and, as Dicomo notes, the Mets will to have to add him to the 40-man roster and remove someone from it before he is activated.
