David Wright is present with the Mets’ front office personnel in Las Vegas for the Winter Meetings this week.

Wright,35, played his last game in September, but is actually still on the Mets 40-man roster as the team can’t remove him yet because of insurance complications.

The former third baseman has been said to want a front office role at some point so it is not too surprising that he would want to experience this side of the sport in his first offseason that he won’t be preparing for another season of playing.

Mike Puma of the New York Post notes that when he was asked about being the next Keith Hernandez in the booth he responded that it was “a loaded question.”
