After going 1-for-2 with a double and two RBI in his first rehab game for the Advanced-A St. Lucie Mets yesterday, New York Mets third baseman Todd Frazier started his second game for the team today.
Frazier came out of the game after the fifth inning today, as he did yesterday. However, he was expected to play seven innings today if the game wasn’t delayed by rain. He went 0-for-2 with two popups to the opposing team’s shortstop.
The Toms River, New Jersey native is hitting .217/.300/.385 this season with 10 home runs, 32 RBI, and eight doubles.
The 32-year old has been on the disabled list since July 9 with a strained rib cage muscle. He was on the DL previously this year (May 8 to June 5) with a left hamstring strain.
These were the first two trips to the DL in the eight-year veteran’s career.
