Mike Puma of the New York Post reports that Jason Vargas will make his first rehab start for the Brooklyn Cyclones tomorrow.
The left-hander has been on the disabled list with a strained right calf since June 20. In nine starts this season, the veteran left-hander has an 8.60 ERA with a 2.29 strikeout-to-walk ratio and a 44 OPS+.
Noah Syndergaard made a rehab appearance today for the Brooklyn Cyclones as well.
