The New York Mets announced today that outfield prospect Desmond Lindsay underwent Ulnar Nerve Transposition surgery this morning at The Hospital for Special Surgery in Manahattan. This is the same surgery that Jacob deGrom had last year.

The Mets second-round pick in the 2015 First-Year Player Draft is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for Spring Training. He was placed on the 7-day disabled list on July 22.

Lindsay, 20, was hitting .220/.327/.388 with ten doubles, triple, eight home runs and four stolen bases in 65 games for the Columbia Fireflies. He was slashing a a stronger .314/.352/.490 in the second half.

Desmond was going to be ranked No. 7 in our Mets Minors mid-season Top 40 prospects rankings we started earlier this week.
