Good Morning, Mets fans! Tonight the New York Mets will begin their final west coast trip of the year in San Diego to take on the Padres. Jacob deGrom will take the ball for New York and will be opposed by Clayton Richard. The game will begin at 10:10 PM, hope you have your coffee ready.
Yesterday was a tough one to swallow. It was very winnable for New York and it was coming off a huge feel good win. Rafael Montero went seven innings but gave up three solo home runs which were enough to earn him the loss despite the statistical quality start.
In the loss though, Michael Conforto homered for one of the two Mets’ runs. The other scored on a Jose Reyes RBI groundout.
