The New York Mets announced that to close out spring training, they will play an exhibition game against their Triple-A affiliate Las Vegas 51s. The game will be played at 11am at First Data Field on March 30th. General admission is $10 and all profits go to the Mets Foundation.

The Las Vegas team is very talented this season, a testament to Sandy Alderson’s leadership of the organization. The team features many players that could be considered Major League ready, and depending on who the Mets cut towards the end of spring training, it could include the likes of Michael Conforto, Brandon Nimmo, T.J. Rivera, and Seth Lugo.

While the Major League team is obviously much better, a 51s team with Seth Lugo as the starting pitcher and a lineup with the aforementioned players could end up competing. The best thing about baseball is that on any given day, any team could beat any team. As of now, no plans have been announced for the game to be broadcasted on TV or radio.
