Topps is back with their 2023 Topps Baseball Series Two, scheduled for release on June 7. The Series Two product is a 330-card set that continues the Topps Baseball Series One product released in February.

Series Two picks up where Series One left off, with card numbers in Series Two starting with number 331 and running through 660 while utilizing the same design. Series Two will also include many of the stars and rookies not included in Series One.

Collectors will also be given the opportunity to chase a ridiculous variety of parallel cards for each of the 330 cards in Series Two are included in each of the 16 parallel sets. All but two of the parallel sets are serial numbered from “1 of 1”, all the way up to 2022.

The biggest parallel for Series Two will be the return of the Golden Mirror variation. If you have purchased a Topps Baseball release in the past decade, you probably know that random cards in the set have a short print photo variation of cards in the set whether it is the same player or a baseball legend. Even fewer cards have a third short print photo variation that is even rarer.

For 2023, Topps has released a short print photo variation for every card in Series One, Series Two, and presumably the Update Series, due out later this year. This short print photo variation is the Golden Mirror variation. Unlike previous short print photo variations, these cards will be more easily identifiable. Historically, the Topps name is printed on the card fronts in silver foil. The Golden Mirror variations will have the Topps name in gold foil. Even more, the back of the card will have the letters “SSP” in gold foil near the card number.

The 35th-anniversary celebration of the 1988 Topps Baseball product continues in Series Two, as does Stars of the MLB and the usual assortment of certified autographs and memorabilia cards.

Series Two includes everything Series One didn’t have for the Mets. Brett Baty’s rookie card appeared in Series One, and Baty is featured less prominently in the different insert sets. Mets fans will find, however, rookie cards of Francisco Alvarez, Mark Vientos, Jose Butto, and Kodai Senga. Alvarez has replaced Baty by being more prominently featured throughout the different insert sets.

Below is a full checklist of the Mets cards included in 2023 Topps Baseball Series Two. This product will be available on June 7.
