Trade You…We Might

It’s safe to say that while we all may be Mets fans to the core, there’s a part of us – our own dark sides if you will – that have had our collective fill of the 2010 New York Mets and want to see it all torn down, brick by brick, player by player, leaving no one safe from our wrath.  Unfortunately all of that visceral, palpable fear of failure will do the New [...]

David Wright’s Opposite Field Power

The three-run homer that Elmer Dessens gave up tonight in the eighth inning to Gaby Sanchez that wound up costing the Mets a loss didn’t really bother me tonight. The team is out of contention, and at this point, all I want to see is some solid, fundamental baseball as well as some clutch hitting in order to play the role of spoiler. Plus Dessens doesn’t exactly factor into the Mets long-term plans. What I [...]

I think the players are as much to blame as any one else.  I think there needs to be some sort of change to [...]

The Mets get swept by the Braves as they lose 6-3. Dickey got tagged for six runs and ten hits in six innings. The bullpen didn’t help much either as they gave up two runs. Niese Crushed, Mets Lose 6-4

After a good beginning, Jonathon Niese was lit up and the Mets couldn’t recover, losing the opening game of the series versus the Braves 6-4. Game Notes Jonathon Niese was strong until the fourth inning, which would prove to be his last – giving up six runs, with NONE of them being earned thanks to a David Wright throwing error on a possible inning-ending double play.
