Rejuvenated Mets Owners Pay Off MLB and Bank of America Loans

Mets Have Worst Spring Record In MLB, Does It Matter
After yesterday’s loss to the Astros, the Mets have not won in their last nine Grapefruit League games. At 3-11, they have the worst spring record in the majors. On the bright side, with no game scheduled for today, there’s no chance that they can extend their winless streak to ten. This is certainly not the start manager Terry Collins was looking for, I can tell you that. And no matter how much Collins and [...]

Pelfrey Continues To Be Awful, Mets Lose 9-5
Mike Pelfrey continued his mighty struggles this spring as he failed to make it out of the third inning today. Summary: Today’s game was just about the opposite of that of yesterday’s. Instead of strong starters, both Pelfrey and Livan Hernandez got hit hard. Instead of all of the games runs being the fault of the bullpen, Only two runs were scored on either side after the third inning. Finally most apparent, instead of a [...]

Recap: Niese Strong, But Bullpen Buckles In 3-2 Loss
The luck of the Irish was apparently not on the side of the Amazin’s today as the bullpen failed to capitalize on a dominant performance by Jon Niese. Summary: Jon Niese and the Mets took the field today donning green jerseys in honor of St. Patty’s Day. Niese and the Braves’ Kris Medlen were locked in a pitcher duel, both having scoreless outings. Niese would go 5 1/3 shutout frames, scattering six hits while walking none and [...]

Will We See Johan Santana on the Mound for Opening Day?
Before yesterdays outing against the Detroit Tigers, Mets fans alike were seeing a healthy Johan Santana coming back strong and healthy. His stats from his first two outings were telling us that things were going well and maybe we might soon see the Santana of old (calm, cool, and dominant). In his first two starts of the spring, Santana had a 0.00 ERA with 2 K’s, and a WHIP of 1.07 in a combined 4.2 [...]

The All-Injured Mets Prospect Team
With all the injuries in big league camp this spring, it would have been really nice if some of the young kids could have stepped in and helped out. It would have been a help to the big league team, a valuable experience for the kids, a learning experience, and who knows? One of them might have won a big league job. Injuries to Captain Kirk have robbed him of any chance this year, to [...]
