According to Jeff Wilson of the Star-Telegram, the Texas Rangers have come to an agreement with free agent catcher Yorvit Torrealba. Anthony Andro of the Star-Telegram reported the terms of the contract as a two-year, $6.25MM deal that will pay the catcher $3MM in 2011 and $3.25MM in 2012. Javier Vazquez is returning back to the National League. According to Jon Morosi of FOX Sports, Vazquez has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Marlins, pending a physical. The Marlins were considered favorites to sign Vasquez after he reportedly had lunch with Marlins manager Edwin Rodriguez last week in Puerto Rico. According to Adam Rubin of ESPNNewYork.com, Daniel Murphy’s leg injury is not serious.  Daniel Murphy is currently playing in winter ball with the Aguilas Cibaenas, and has been out with the leg injury since last tuesday.  Cibaenas GM Luichey Sanchez told ESPN’s Enrique Rojas that Murphy has “tired legs” and will be rested for 5 days.  Daniel Murphy is one the the candidates next spring to take over as the Mets starting 2nd basemen. According to [...]
