Michael Antonini had a rough outing tonight, giving up 4 runs on 5 hits and 3 walks in 4.2 innings for his 5th loss of the season. Two struggling former starters pitched in relief with differing results. Scott Shaw had 1.1 scoreless innings, he’s got a 0.00 era in 4 relief outings over 9.1 innings, having given up 9 hits with 8 strikeouts. Eddie Kunz, however, allowed a run on a hit and 2 walks in his inning, and he has a 6.17 era in 6 relief outings, spanning 11.2 innings, he’s given up 12 hits and 10 walks, against 4 strikeouts.

The Mets offense had 8 hits and drew 2 walks, along with 8 strikeouts, while going 1 for 7 (.143) with RISP, and leaving 10 on base. Nick Evans and DJ Wabick had multi hit games, while Josh Satin (0 for 5, 2 Ks, .000) and Eric Campbell took 0-fers.

Erik Turgeon allowed an IHR to score, blowing the save, but picking up the win. Michael Powers worked a perfect 9th for his 7th save. The Gnats had 8 hits and 4 walks, while going 3 for 8 with RISP, leaving 8 on, and striking out 6 times. Juan Lagares and Jefry Marte had multi hit games, while Rafael Fernandez, Nick Santomauro and Alonzo Harris took 0-fers.
