Free Agent sinker-baller Joel Pineiro, one of the top free agent pitchers left on the market, is available no more. Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports that the Brewers have signed free agent left-hander Doug Davis to a one-year deal worth $4.25 million dollars with a $6.5 million mutual option for 2011. Davis was 9-14 with a 4.12 ERA in 34 starts with the Diamondbacks last season. The Mets tied some loose ends yesterday by agreeing to one-year deals with arbitration eligibles Jeff Francoeur, Pedro Feliciano and Sean Green. Yesterday, a few 2009 season ticket holders may have received a surprise package in the mail from the New York Mets. (Well at least one very happy ticket holder did!)
