Angel Pagan Arrested in Florida

amd_paganTCPalm.com reports that injured Met Angel Pagan was arrested on Thursday. Pagan was arrested on traffic violations after being stopped for speeding on I-95.

While checking Pagan’s license the officer learned that he was driving with a suspended license and also had several warrants.

Although Pagan had a valid Arizona drivers license, his Florida drivers license was supsended back in 2005 for failure to pay a traffic fine.

Pagan has been in Florida for rehab after elbow surgery to remove a bone spur. He has not appeared in a game since May 12th of last year and the Mets say he still isn’t ready to play in the Minors.

While this news makes me sad, it’s really hard to see any kind of future for Pagan in New York. He did a great job replacing Alou early on in the season in ’08 but after two injuries and this incident, his days are surely numbered.
