K-Rod Agent Promises Mets Will Get Last Call
ESPN is reporting that both of the agents for K-Rod and Brian Fuentes have agreed to give the Mets a last chance to beat any offers.
Certainly this is a sign that the Mets are getting ready to dance.
The ESPN reports also feels strongly that because of the expanded availability of closer, it moves the Mets and K-Rod closer together and that is why he is coming to NY for a medical exam.
I almost don’t want all of this drama to end…
It’s so much fun watching all of the different twists and turns as things continue to develop.
All I know though, is that whenever you are negotiating and ask the other party to give you the right to beat the last and final offer, it shows the seriousness in which the Mets are going about this off season.
Change is coming.
About the Author: Joe DeCaro
Went to my first Mets game, a Mayors Trophy game at Shea, in '73. We beat the Yankees 8-4 and I was hooked. I marched in two Banner Day parades, and before the Grand Slam single, there was the "Hendu Can Do" grand slam - I was there. I've collected Mets memorabilia all my life and started Mets Merized Online to feed my addiction.
