With Zack Wheeler and Jenrry Mejia now firmly entrenched after promotions from the minors, which Mets prospect are you now most excited to see? I posed the question to some of our writers and here is what they came up with:

travis d'arnaudDaniel – I hope Travis d’Arnaud can get healthy and productive and make an appearance at some point. John Buck is definitely back to Earth and Anthony Recker hasn’t proven enough to get consistent playing time.

Satish – He’s still a while away, but Gabriel Ynoa. MMN readers know about my man-crush on Ynoa, who I feel is the complete package and will likely turn into a stud pitcher.

Joe S.Wilmer Flores intrigues me as does Noah Syndergaard.

Jessep – Noah Syndergaard

Connor – Noah Syndergaard

David – Wilmer Flores, because he hits for power, good average and he has played a few positions and if brought in the right way can be a great impact on the team.

Drew – I want to see what Kevin Plawecki can do at a higher level. Disappointed at the way this front office move their college picks so slowly. My concerns about Travis d’Arnaud are mounting and I don’t know if he will stick at catcher. I really want to see Plawecki at a higher level. As for this season and the Mets, I’m only interested in Wilmer Flores. It’s a shame he’s still in the minors when almost everything I’ve read about him say his bat is MLB ready.

MLB: Spring Training-New York Mets at Detroit TigersGerry – It’s Wilmer Flores for me.

Andre – For 2013, obviously Wilmer Flores. How good will he hit ? How will he field ? Among arms, pretty sure we´ll see Jacob deGrom up here pretty quickly as another power arm.

Eric – Beyond the obvious names (d’Arnaud, Flores), I’m really excited about Jack Leathersich. Guy’s been having a ball in the minors this year, and after the issues that the Mets have had with lefty relief (see: Edgin, Rice, Carson), getting a guy up who can not only be good against LHB but also against the rest of a lineup could be huge.

Matt B. – Wilmer Flores most of all with TDA a close second.

Barry – Noah Syndergaard will probably compete for a rotation spot next spring, but Flores needs to be up now.

Gregg – I want to see Travis d’Arnaud, but I think we may not see him until the very end of this season or even 2014.

Xtreem – I’m MOST excited to see Syndergaard, but he’s a bit away. I’m excited to see how Mejia has healed and I’ll be excited to see Plawecki in AA whenever they decide to send him there. And I’ve always kept tabs on TJ Rivera and can’t wait to see him at the next level along with Plawecki.

Well, there you have it… A veritable cornucopia of Mets prospects for you to delight over. I myself want to see Wilmer Flores batting somewhere in the middle of our lineup with all due expediency, and Jack Leathersich as a lefty specialist in our bullpen.
