Zack Wheeler will make his return from the disabled list on Saturday against the Philadelphia Phillies. The New York Mets right-hander was placed on the 10-day DL on June 21, retroactive to June 20, with right biceps tendinitis.

Wheeler is 3-5 with a 5.29 ERA, 1.538 WHIP and 61 strikeouts in 66.1 innings spanning 13 starts in 2017.

Rafael Montero earned himself another start after allowing only one run in his last outing against the San Francisco Giants and will go on Sunday vs. the Phillies.

Montero is 1-4 with a 5.63 and 1.938 WHIP, but does have 35 strikeouts in 32 innings.

Given the Mets complete lack of starting options Montero certainly should be rewarded for his start against the Giants.

However, you have wonder how much interest the Mets will have in bringing back former Met and recently designated for assignment, Bartolo Colon.
