Andy Martino of SNY had a few very notable things to report regarding the Mets trade chips, but one of them, in particular, stood out among the pack.

According to him, Zack Wheeler‘s market is heating up to the point where he could be dealt at any moment now. 12 teams sent scouts to the watch the right-hander pitch last night, in which he allowed only two runs in seven innings of work.

Wheeler, 28, is expected to net a team’s top-10 prospect plus more in a deal. Some teams that Martino notes for a fact are interested in Wheeler are the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Seattle Mariners, and Texas Rangers. He is under control through the 2019 season, so teams out of the race are options as well.

Martino also notes that Wilmer Flores and Asdrubal Cabrera talks have progressed far enough that they could be dealt at any point as well, but will not net nearly as strong of returns.

Lastly, he points out that both Jose Bautista and Devin Mesoraco have drawn some trade interest, but the team currently views the two of them as having more value to the Mets than anything they could get back in return for trading them.
