The Triple-A Syracuse Mets exploded for 18 runs in their win on Tuesday, including 14 runs in the seventh inning. Trayce Thompson homered, doubled and knocked in six runs in the inning. The Florida Complex League Mets had their own fun at the plate, scoring 15 runs behind homers by Simón Juan and Willy Fañas.

Despite all that offense, the biggest story for the Mets is likely the dominant performance from Tylor Megill with Syracuse as he continues his rehab assignment. He struck out seven in four scoreless innings.
