Twins Sign Lance Lynn to One-Year, $12 Million Deal

After playing the waiting game the entire winter, one of the top starting pitchers on the market, Lance Lynn, has found a home.

According to Jon Heyman of Fan Rag and Jon Paul Morosi of MLB Network, the Minnesota Twins and Lynn have agreed to a one-year deal worth $12 million.

Lynn, 30, has spent the entirety of his career up to this point as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals. He is coming off a year in which he went 11-8 with a 3.43 ERA in 186.1 innings pitched.

He missed the 2016 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery, but has overall been a workhorse throughout his career, pitching in at least 175 innings in each of his full five big league seasons.

The deal can top out at $14 million if all performance incentives are reached.
