Cesar Puello

Updated 2/20

According to ESPN, New York Mets outfield prospect Cesar Puello has been linked to receiving PEDs from the Biogenesis of America clinic. However, it should be noted that there is no proof that Puello ever actually used any form of PED. ESPN states that “Sources said the players, like those who have been named in previous Biogenesis documents, were on a list as having received performance-enhancing drugs, although the documents are not proof that the players either received or used PEDs.”

The Biogenesis of America clinic has also been linked to notable major leaguers such as Melky Cabrera, Alex Rodriguez and Ryan Braun.

According to the Adam Rubin of ESPN, the Mets had no comment due to the pending investigation, and were referring all inquiries to Major League Baseball.

“Because of the ongoing investigation,we have no comment. We refer all questions to Major League Baseball.”

Former Met Fernando Martinez, now with the Astros organization, has also been implicated.
