The New York Mets farm system was expected to take a hit in overall rankings in 2023, with the likelihood of at least Francisco Álvarez, Mark Vientos, and Brett Baty all getting enough playing time at the major league level to graduate from lists. That’s not the case; however, after they received multiple top 100 prospects and multiple other close-to-top 100 prospects at the deadline, and a couple of players broke out into the top 100 conversations.

Sorry for the delay on this list. I was hoping to have it out weeks ago, but I’ve been sick basically since I got back from the winter meetings in December. I will update this once I get a chance to talk to scouts/watch more videos of the players the Mets are expected to sign next week when the 2024 International Free Agency period starts on Jan. 15.

I started with 107 players and had a hard time whittling it down, so I went with 75 players. I believe it’s a good number to show you how the Mets system is deeper right now and maybe introduce you to names you haven’t heard before.

Christian Scott is easily the biggest riser of the group and he will likely be in national top 100 lists that come out for 2024. I could see him making his major league debut in 2024.

Other risers include Wilfredo Lara, Paul Gervase, and certainly Jeremy Rodriguez since coming over in the Tommy Pham trade.

I will go into greater detail on most of these players as we get closer to spring training.
