Former NFL Quarterback, Tim Tebow, continues his pursuit of a major league career as he readies himself for the Arizona Fall League.

Tebow will make his debut for the Scottsdale Scorpions at 3:35 ET time Tuesday while playing left field and batting seventh in the lineup.

“So much of the pressure is taken away because I get to go out here and pursue something that I love, that I’m passionate about,” Tebow said.

“I’ve always been a believer that perfect love casts out all fear. So when you’re scared about something, remember why you’re doing something, why you love it. And have that mindset and approach.” (ESPN)

The Arizona Fall League is a place where many of MLB’s top prospects are sent to continue to work on their craft as they ready themselves for what is hopefully a lengthy major league career. The competition is sure to be stiff for Tebow.

New York Mets first base coach, Tom Goodwin helms the managerial position for the Scorpions. Goodwin is excited at the opportunity to manage Tebow and see what he can do on the diamond.

“You’re talking about a guy who has won a Heisman Trophy but also been cut four times. I think he knows what the challenge is,” said Goodwin. “I think he’s up for the challenge. I’m definitely looking forward to putting him out there.”

“It’s a huge jump for him, but I don’t think it’s anything he can’t handle. I know he’s looking forward to it. And I think a lot of people out there are looking forward to seeing what he has and what he can do.”

The buzz will surely be ramped up for Tebow’s debut. He has shown the ability to hit for power while looking somewhat shaky at times in the field. It will be a good opportunity to see what he can do with the chance that has been brought before him.
