Thursday night’s Mets game in Atlanta has been postponed after a two hour rain delay, the team announced on Twitter.

The game will now be played at a later date, which has yet to be announced.

At the time of the delay, the Mets were up 3-1 after Jay Bruce clubbed a two-run homer, his 10th of the season, minutes before play stopped.

Zack Wheeler tossed 68 pitches and allowed one earned run in three innings for New York.

The Mets will now return home to face the Miami Marlins for a weekend series.

Rafael Montero (0-2, 9.45 ERA) will get the ball for the opener and will be opposed by Tom Koehler (1-1, 5.40 ERA). First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
