The Mets had three prospects earn Player of the Week honors in their respective leagues this past week.

Double-A Eastern League Pitcher of the Week

RHP Jonah Tong

Tong, 21, earned Eastern League Pitcher of the Week for the second consecutive week. After tossing 6 2/3 perfect innings with 13 strikeouts on May 10 vs. Reading, he followed up his perfect performance with six scoreless innings on Saturday with eight strikeouts at Hartford. Tong allowed just two hits and two walks on 94 pitches en route to a 12-0 Binghamton win.

Tong continues an ultra-impressive start to his 2025 campaign, spotting a 2.12 ERA and 1.00 WHIP with 59 strikeouts over 34.0 innings. He has at least eight strikeouts in each of his last five starts. Among the 327 minor league pitchers with at least 30 innings this season, Tong’s 43.4 K% is the best.
