The Mets bullpen has logged quite a few innings this season, 110 2/3 to be exact, and for the most part, have seen mixed results.

The team ranks No. 20 in the majors with a 4.55 bullpen ERA with a .274 batting average against (BAA).

However, Hansel Robles has proven to be a steady and reliable option the last several weeks, helping to mitigate the issues the starters are also having with their collective 4.90 ERA.

Since April 13, Robles has logged 12 1/3 scoreless innings including a scoreless frame Saturday night against the Marlins.

Over that span, the righty has also fanned 14 hitters.

Robles shattered his previous career mark of 11 2/3 scoreless innings, which he set from July 4 through Aug. 1 of last year.

Altogether in 2017, Robles is 4-0 with a sparkling 1.56 ERA in 16 appearances. His four wins are also tied for second in the majors as well as leading the team.

For his career, Robles has accumulated a 14-7 record with a 3.32 ERA and a 9.9 K/9 in 141 games (149 innings pitched).

With the Mets offensive explosion and pile-up of injuries recently, it is easy for Robles’ performance to be overshadowed, but the 26-year-old is quietly having himself a nice little start to the season.
