Mets Sign Jankowski, Alvarez Placed on Paternity List
The Mets signed veteran outfielder Travis Jankowski Tuesday to a minor-league deal, and he will report to Triple-A Syracuse. In a separate move, Francisco Alvarez was placed on the paternity list and catcher Hayden Senger was called up from Syracuse. Jankowski, 33, has already played for the White Sox and Rays this year, hitting .244/.286/.289 in 49 plate appearances combined for the two clubs....
