Mets first-round pick Carson Benge debuted in the Bridge League Saturday and didn’t disappoint. The lefty bat collected two hits in the Bridge League, including a 99-mile-per-hour single and 102-mile-per-hour double. Both hits came against Cardinals lefty Yadiel Batista. The exit velocities and instant success are encouraging signs for Benge, who the Mets selected 19th overall this July....
