Anthony Dicomo of MLB.com reports that Anthony Swarzak threw off flat ground as recently as Monday, but shut his throwing down due to discomfort.
The team decided that since he shut down his throwing program, he will not head to Florida to ramp up his rehab and will instead stay in New York with the team.

According to Anthony Dicomo of MLB.com, Mets reliever Anthony Swarzak has begun the road to recovery from a strained left oblique.
The right-hander is expected to be headed to Port St. Lucie on Wednesday to ramp up his throwing program.
Swarzak threw for the first time on Sunday, and threw for a second time this afternoon. Although this is some positive news, Swarzak is still likely multiple weeks away from a return to the club.
The righty was pulled from his appearance on March 31 with an oblique injury.
He has allowed only one run and struck out three in 2.1 innings this season. In his absence, the rest of the Mets bullpen has stepped up, posting a 1.51 ERA, the best bullpen ERA in baseball at this point.
