Mike Puma of the New York Post reports that Steven Matz has returned to camp while Matt Adams still hasn’t come back yet.

Matz, 28, was sent home with an illness earlier this week. In two starts this spring, Matz has allowed one run (a solo home run to Harrison Bader) over three innings of work. He’s also struck out two batters and walked none.

Adams, 31, has not been in camp since last week when he was scratched from the lineup, along with Brandon Nimmo, after something came up on cardiology tests he got that needed to be examined further.

So far, the first baseman, who signed a minor-league deal with the Mets, is 1-for-8 with an RBI.
