alejandro de aza 2

According to Adam Rubin of ESPN on Twitter, six teams are reportedly interested in trading for Alejandro De Aza, however, the Mets are still trying to find the right match.

The Mets signed De Aza to a one-year, $5.75 million deal in December, with the intent that him and Juan Lagares would platoon in center field. The Mets reportedly want to move his entire contract.

Yoenis Cespedes then became available and changed everything when he signed with the Mets, relegating De Aza to a reserve role.

De Aza split the 2015 season between the Orioles, Red Sox and Giants and hit at a .261/.319/.436 clip with seven home runs and 32 runs batted in over the span of 90 games.

The teams that are reportedly interested in acquiring the veteran outfielder according to MLB Trade Rumors are the Indians, Blue Jays, Cardinals, Angels, and Royals.

So far this spring for the Mets, De Aza is 7-for-16.
