According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, free agent outfielder Adam Jones is currently discussing a potential move to Japan. The veteran and the Orix Buffaloes are said to be on the brink of a multi-year deal that could be finalized as soon as this week.

Donaldson Expected to Get Four Years

It is becoming increasingly likely that free agent third baseman Josh Donaldson will receive a four-year deal, reports Mark Bowman of MLB.com.

Bowman notes that National League clubs in particular might be looking ahead to 2021, when the possibility of a DH in the NL could become a reality.

Blue Jays Take Flyer on Shaw

The Toronto Blue Jays are said to be looking into free agent infielder Travis Shaw, according to Jon Morosi of MLB Network. Although pitching is Toronto’s primary focus, reports Morosi, the club is not opposed to adding another bat.

Interest in Gardner, Romo Grows

Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports that at least two teams have shown interest in discussing a multi-year deal with free agent outfielder Brett Gardner. However, Heyman notes that teams should not get their hopes up just yet- Gardner is keen on remaining a Yankee for the foreseeable future.

Heyman also reports that free agent reliever Sergio Romo is piquing the interest of several teams- most notably the Athletics, Twins, Marlins, Phillies, Red Sox, and Giants. A deal, according to Heyman, will likely come to fruition at the winter meetings.

Claudio Inks Deal With Brew Crew

Free agent reliever Alex Claudio has signed a one-year deal with the Milwaukee Brewers, reports Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. The incentive-laced deal is said to be worth $1.75M.
